Thousands of kilometers south of Buenos Aires, three characters travel along the deserted roads of Patagonia. Don Justo, an 80-year-old former café owner whose son now runs the roadside bar, has escaped from home in search of his long-lost dog. Roberto, a 40-year-old traveling salesman, is delivering a birthday cake to the son of a young widow who was once his client. That same day, María Flores, a 25-year-old woman traveling by bus with her daughter, has just learned she’s won a prize on a TV show. Each travels alone, but on the desolate Patagonian roads, their lives and hopes intersect at the few stops the vast landscape has to offer.
