Marcos and Susana, siblings just shy of sixty, live in constant and comical conflict. Their lives and personalities are completely different, but after their mother’s death, they are forced to strengthen their relationship. Susana, a personality somewhere between controlling and eccentric, who always keeps the family “affairs” under control, convinces her brother Marcos, a sensitive and educated jeweler, to buy an old house in a small Uruguayan town. Thus begins a new chapter in their lives, in which they struggle both living apart and together.
